Find a product by name

Find a product

1. Tap +, then Skip on the scan screen. (Or scan first, and come back to this if the scan doesn't find it.)
2. On Add Product, tap Brand or Product name. The Find your product screen opens.
3. Type words from the brand and the product name together, in any order. Partial words work: "cerave moist", "snail essence" and "rare blush" all find what you'd expect.
4. Tap your product under Products.

BeautyMark fills in the brand, name, shade, category and the store's link, and adds the product's photo. If you've already added a photo of your own, it keeps yours.

Browse one brand

Under Brands, tap a brand (it shows how many products we know for it). The screen changes to Choose a product and only searches that brand. Type part of the name to narrow it down.

• Done (the ✓ on iOS 26 and later) keeps just the brand, if you'd rather type the name yourself.
• All brands goes back to searching everything.

Already filled in the brand? Tapping Product name starts with that brand's products.

When your product isn't listed

The top row always offers Use "…" with exactly what you typed. Tap it (or the done key on the keyboard) to use your own words. New and niche products, minis, and sets might not be in our list yet.

Help other people find it

When you save a product that isn't in our list, BeautyMark may ask Share this product with Beautymark? If you tap Share, we review it and add it to everyone's list in a future update, so the next person can just pick it. Only the brand, name, shade, category and store link are shared, never your photos or notes.

Rather not? Tap Not Now, or Don't Ask Again to stop the question. You can turn it back on any time in BeautyMark's Settings with Ask to share new products.

Add a photo

Every product needs a photo. If the one from the list isn't right, or you typed the product in yourself, tap Add Photo at the top of Add Product and choose:

• Camera: take a picture of your own.
• Photo library: use a picture you already have.
• Search on web: look up the product's picture online (available once a brand or name is filled in).

A photo you take or choose yourself is never swapped out automatically.

Changing a product you already saved

Open the product, tap the ••• button at the top right, then Edit. Tapping Product name opens the same search, starting with the name it has now, so you can add a word or pick a different product.
